When you use Rovermind, we collect: - Your email address and authentication details (via Google OAuth or email/password) - Chat messages you send and AI responses you receive - Robot setup preferences you configure (hardware, ROS version, robot type) - GitHub repository connections you authorize - Usage data (number of messages, features used) We do not collect your robot's runtime data, live sensor feeds, or anything beyond what you explicitly paste or upload into the chat.
Your data is used to: - Provide and improve the Rovermind debugging experience - Save your chat history so you can reference past sessions - Remember your robot setup so you don't repeat yourself - Enforce usage limits (Free: 10 messages/day, Pro: unlimited) • AI improvement — when you click 👍 on a Rex answer, that conversation may be saved as a training example to improve Rovermind. You can delete all your training data from Settings. Your code, logs, and chat messages are NOT used to train AI models. We use Claude (Anthropic) as our AI provider — your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses, subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Chat history: kept until you delete it or close your account - Robot setup preferences: kept until you change or delete them - Account data: kept until you delete your account You can delete your data at any time from your account settings.
• Rovermind team: we can access your data for support and debugging purposes - Anthropic: your messages are processed by Claude API (see Anthropic's privacy policy) - Nobody else: we do not sell, share, or rent your data to third parties Your GitHub repository data is only accessed with your explicit permission and only used to provide context for your debugging sessions.
You have the right to: - Access your data — view everything we store about you - Delete your data — remove your chat history, preferences, and account - Export your data — download your chat history - Opt out — stop using Rovermind at any time To exercise these rights, use the account settings page or email us at privacy@rovermind.ai
We protect your data with: - AES-256-GCM encryption for sensitive tokens - HTTPS for all data in transit - Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security for data at rest - No plaintext storage of passwords or API keys
